HELLO.

I'm glad you're here.

Intro

I am an HPCSA Registered Counsellor in private practice

based in Cape Town, South Africa.

I offer in-person sessions from my conveniently located counselling rooms in the Cape Town City Bowl. Online sessions can also be accommodated.

I am fluent in both English and Afrikaans.

We all experience times when our ability to cope with what is happening in our lives is challenged, and simply put, we need help.

Whether we're navigating relationship conflict, getting stuck in patterns of behaviour that no longer serve us, or adapting to life's inevitable changes, counselling can offer short-term, dynamic interventions that enhance our psychological wellbeing and improve personal functioning. By engaging in self-enquiry, we gain invaluable insights into our thoughts, emotions, and responses, while cultivating resilience and confidence to navigate future adversities.

I invite you to invest in your personal wellbeing and to see where safe self-discovery can take you.

APPROACH

MY APPROACH

A wise person once said that to have a better life, we must continually choose how we live. Inspired by this aspiration of ongoing reflection, I approach counselling with genuine curiosity for what influences our thoughts, emotions, and actions.

With a strong foundation in the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), attachment theory, and developmental psychology, I specialise in addressing a diverse range of concerns that impact day-to-day functioning, offering practical strategies and evidence-based techniques through a collaborative process.

My approach to counselling is dynamic and focused, encouraging active engagement in the process of positive change. Typically, I recommend between 4 and 12 sessions to address specific issues while equipping you with valuable skills for the future.

Fostering a validating and supportive environment in my counselling space is of utmost importance to me. I strive to offer a professional yet personable level of support, with the goal of ensuring that you feel deeply understood and respected throughout our collaboration.
